NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board is the NHS body that plans and pays for health services in the Black Country (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton). This page sets out what it publishes about NHS Right to Choose for ADHD and autism assessments.

Everything below is what the board says, not something Docorix has checked: boards change these pages without notice, and a provider being listed does not mean it is taking referrals now. Confirm with your GP and the provider before you rely on it.
What the board says
- Some providers paused
- The board says NHS Birmingham and Solihull and Black Country Integrated Care Boards have asked some Right to Choose providers to temporarily pause new ADHD and autism assessments. It does not name them on this page.
- Who the pause does not affect
- People who already have an assessment booked, are part-way through one, have a diagnosis and are awaiting treatment, or already receive ADHD medication.
- Your place in the queue
- The board says a pause will not affect your place on the provider’s waiting list but may increase the time you wait. Assessments are prioritised in order of waiting time.
- Your GP decides
- Your GP is responsible for deciding whether a referral is clinically appropriate. You cannot refer yourself.
Providers the board lists as verified
“Yes” and “No” are the board’s own columns and the last column is its own wording (CYP means children and young people; ASC and ASD mean autism). Docorix noticed that for a few providers the columns and the note do not agree – the board’s page is shown as published.

NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board – Right to Choose referrals for ADHD or autism
