Right to Choose in Norfolk and Suffolk: ADHD and autism

NHS Norfolk and Suffolk Integrated Care Board is the NHS body that plans and pays for health services in Norfolk and Suffolk. This page sets out what it publishes about NHS Right to Choose for ADHD and autism assessments.

Docorix read the board’s pages on 9 October 2026. The pages show no date; their page data shows the adult ADHD page was last edited on 27 April 2026 and the children’s page on 17 August 2026. The adult ADHD page is headed “Norfolk and Waveney”. Everything below is what the board says, not something Docorix has checked: boards change these pages without notice, and a provider being listed does not mean it is taking referrals now. Confirm with your GP and the provider before you rely on it.

What the board says

Checked against local standards
The board says its listed adult ADHD providers have been checked to make sure they meet local quality standards, follow local shared care guidance and offer yearly reviews.
Providers not on the list
The board says it is not able to assure the clinical quality and safety of ADHD assessment providers who are not listed, and that such providers may only offer certain elements, such as assessment only.
First contact
The board says its approved adult ADHD providers are contractually obliged to contact patients within 10 working days of receiving the referral.
Children: medication
The board says not all providers are commissioned or able to prescribe and manage ADHD medication – check prescribing arrangements before choosing.
Local NHS service
For adults, the local NHS ADHD assessment service is run by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust; you need a GP referral.

Adults: ADHD (Norfolk and Waveney)

The board says all six can provide adult ADHD assessments, can prescribe ADHD medication following a positive diagnosis, and undertake annual reviews.

“Website” is the address an NHS board publishes for that provider. A Docorix listing is shown where the official register has the same operator or the same website – it carries the name of the provider’s registered premises, so it can read differently from the provider’s trading name. A dash means none was found. Docorix is not part of the NHS and cannot make or speed up a referral. Your board is the one that covers your GP practice – if you are not sure which that is, ask your practice.
